Default House survey

Our lender is requiring a new survey (rather than just accepting an affidavit of no change from a 2000 survey). Can anyone give me an idea of what the costs are for a new survey?

Thanks in advance!!

I would go to the company who did the survey in 2000 and ask them to update the existing one and "recert" the new one with your name. This should be acceptable for your mortgage company. The surveyor may need to do a quick site visit and it shouldn't cost you more than $300.00 for them to do this. A new survey...depending on the size of the property and whether or not "stakes" or property corners need to be set, is about double..maybe more.
