Ryan Homes in Tinton Falls, NJ
Does anyone have any good/bad experiences with Ryan Home in the Parkview Development in Tinton Falls, NJ. Considering purchasing the Waldorf or Sheridan model. Any comments / suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Chauncey..

Actually considering this as well. It's a brand new community, and we're seriously considering the Sheridan model.

Seems a little shady to me
I did a lot of research on Ryan Homes and their reputation is not that highly regarded. Many lawsuits for shoddy work in other communities on the Eastern Seaboard. The reputation of NVR mortgage is amongst the lowest - and they try to manipulate you into using it in order to get the incentives (gourmet kitchen, hardwood floors)!
Plus, I hate the idea of spending close to $350,000 on a home situated on a landfill! Who knows what's lying beneath? Would I want my children to be running over that? A friend of mine says that in the heat of summer, Shafto Road can REEK!

Builders and realtors are required to give you a disclosure sheet locating all the landfills within 5 miles of your house.......didn't they give you one ?

Do some more research because I drive on Rt. 18 thru Tinton Falls 3 or 4 times a week. One particular location is humming with the landfill smell for about a mile.

I think that disclosure sheet is also supposed to disclose all sites on the EPA "superfund" clean up list too ?
