When we were still listed..we looked at few of the old vics in hackettstown... These must be fairly new to the market or we missed them as the ones we ended up going to see...needed TONS of work! I've decided that WHEN not IF we win the lottery... I'm going to build an old victorian... 12-inch wide plank floors..12-foot ceilings...tons of crown molding, etc.

Hi guys, thanks so much for your help!! I gave you both reps for it!!

Alex it was the cheap one...359K the one owned by the Church. When I step into these homes I ALWAYS want to know it's history...who built it in 1870 (I think was the age) what was their story? Do you know anything about it?

Yeah, hubby thought it would take 50K at LEAST to get it up to par.

Actually built in the 1860's, it's been on the market seems like forever, at least since I moved into the neighborhood, the Church also owned the one on the corner of Liberty St & Linwood and it was sold recently to a Lawyer from NYC, altough it's true that it needs work I believe it's priced right and if you negotiate it properly I'm sure you could get it in the mid 320k's, it is a hidden jewel that needs some TLC, and if you saw the rest of the homes on the street you know there's pride of ownership and people do take care of the homes here. Also, please do keep in mind that Newton taxes are quite outrageous for the area, specifically on Linwood Ave, but the closer you get to Liberty St, the lower the taxes.
