Commuting to downtown? (Hackensack, Hoboken, Fort Lee: apartments, condo, living)

I'm looking at commuting down town but living somewhere in bergen county, NJ (looking at the high-rises). Were is a good place to live? I was looking at Fort Lee, but it seems like the commute down town would be over an hour? I need to get to 14th street (5th ave). Any ideas?

If you must have a high rise and a train to Hoboken/NYC I'd suggest Hackensack (on the NJ Transit PVL between Anderson Street and North Hackensack). I'd also suggest Rutherford/East Rutherford. They have a new transit village at the station with new semi-high rise apartments/condoes on the Bergen Co. Line

I think the PATH train from Hoboken goes near here. Can anyone verify?

I would think Hackensack would be the best. I would of thought Fort lee would of been better but you said it wasnt... Edgewater maybe also

Spincycle ... I looked at Hackensack before (for commuting in NJ), but I thought it was pretty far from NYC? I was looking at the high-rises on prospect. How would I get to 14th street from them?

Take NJ Transit PVL train from one of the Hackensack stations to Hoboken, get off go downstairs and take the PATH train to 14th street and walk a block or so to your destination. I think that should work fa' ya'.
