There are no points to be debated from google street shots.
^^ there mumra gave some good input NOT based on the google street views and I really don't understand why street view can't give you a good idea of a neighborhood!

Did you know that East Orange, for example, isn't what it used to be? At one time it was the richest suburban community in the entire nation.

The thread is titled re: gangs. Street shots from google have nothing to do with that.

Creative would be like having something to say. It says nothing about the topic.

how do you know the traffic stop wasn't gang related? those projects are probably thriving with gangs. perhaps there's spillover in certain parts of SO from it.

There is no way you can know anything like that from a google streetview and that is why it is beyond ridiculous. No matter what one's age is or what part of the country they come from they should know at least that.

I really do not understand both clevedark and cyntmac's comments. Yes, my thread post was asking about gang activity in the area and although its become slightly off track, showing a police officer looking in his trunk with two parked cars in front of it & the view of the blight looking Ivy hill apartments is relative to crime and gangs.
Google street view does give you a good preception on a neighborhood and how it appears. STrapani1105 contributed to this thread in a good way by showing those images. Who cares if anyone can get their hands on street view from the internet! Look, I don't care weather you speculate if theres gang activity in the eastern areas of maplewood or south orange or if you think there is none at all, evidence and detail is all people are looking for and STrapani as well as mumra have made good points into why they believe there may be thugs in certain areas. My question to you is, why do you believe that street view on google doesn't give the view an accurate idea of an area?

Idea of an area? What does that mean?
I thought you were speaking of gangs on this thread?
