Hey guys, I'm new here, so I apologize if a similar question has been asked.

Basically, I've recently moved to the northeast, and I've read about a new casino/hotel in New Jersey called Revel Atlantic City? This is the link in case you're wondering http://www.revelresorts.com

But I basically want to know if anyone has booked a room there. How is it? I hear they have some issues, but generally I'd like to kno if it's fun or not.

Thanks!

I was there for two nights in the beginning of December.
Nicest casino hotel in AC. Of course, it's the newest, so it has that as an advantage.

The room was modern, large, luxurious. The "clock" on the nightstand is actually an internet enabled tablet device. A single remote was available to control the TV, lighting, even the drapes.

The casino and the poker room were both a bit empty, but most of AC was empty, as it was mid week in early December.
Several really good restaurants. I ate at Amada, a really good Spanish restaurant, and Village Whiskey, which is an American Pub(?) Tavern(?). I had a really nice burger and, as you might expect, sampled some excellent whiskeys. (Based purely on your name, you might want to give that one a shot.)

They are supposed to be about the entertainment, more than the gambling. Unfortunately, while I was there I didn't get to see a show, so I can't comment on the venue. There was event at the club, called HQ, that I was told was EXCELLENT.

What impressed me most was how helpful, how polite, and how friendly every member of the staff was. Top notch.

One thing I didn't love; the place is huge, and it's easy to get lost, as there is little in the way of directional signage. Of course, that was easily rectified by that very helpful staff.

I like the view up top where they have an indoor pool, an outdoor pool then you overlook the ocean all in one view.

I've stayed there and it's excellent. The only thing I don't like is the location. There's not much near it. Showboat and Taj are the closest other casinos and they are so-so.

Like we are supposed to take the word of the union thugs in determining the quality of a resort? If anything, the lack of unionization is the only chance this venture has in succeeding.

Can you imagine if they were unionized and the thugs could enforce rules that state that you have to "keep x amount of housekeeping staff present and employed at all times regardless of whether there are any guests".

THAT is what unions give us and why companies that are unionized typically end up in receivership.
