Hi there,

being myself open to any religion I am a little concerned about how we would fit into Livingston with it's large jewish community (I hear a good 40%?).

We are attracted by schools, "relatively" low taxes for Essex County and a also the Asian population (my wife is Chinese, I am German (!), both non religious).

So - do we need to be worried about "not fitting in"? I can not stand it when people stick too much their own kind.

Are there any areas of Livingston we should avoid in this respect?

Thanks everyone!

Some on this forum will would say that they would never live in Livingston because they are not jewish. I however have lived here for over 35 years and I'm not jewish. I was brought up here and came back here to raise my family and give them the same excellent education and oportunities that I had. There is no one particular part of town that the jewish population is located in, as there are several temples in town as well as several churches, we are all kind of disbursted through out the town. Hope this helps

I know several non-Jewish people who live in Livingston and they have no problems at all. It is a nice town.

Default Hard to believe

This is one of the most anti-semitic (sic?) questions i've read. I'm more surprised that with 5 replies no one mentioned this. Please read this German man's question and comments carefully...........unbelievable!!! PS no, i'm not Jewish...............

Oh, these little games are so not clever.
Just be thankful- we still respond to these knowing they are probably bogus.

I don't see a problem with the OP's question. I did not sense any hidden agenda.
Why is it OK for other races, religions etc.. to ask the same question?
Seems like a double standard.

there's an ignore feature, or you can simply not answer if you think the post is bogus or trollish, although then you'd never respond to anything since everything is suspect to you.
