Default Can you see NYC fireworks from NJ?

This is my first 4th of July in NJ and I would love to see the fireworks in Manhattan. Without going into the city, any suggestions of where to go? Hoboken maybe? Or do you really have to be in the city to see?

Default Fireworks from NJ

Liberty State Park in Jersey City is a good spot to see the NYC fireworks.

Yup, with the Statue of Liberty up and center. Better than going into Manhattan.

Does anyone know for sure if the fireworks are going to be in the Hudson River this year. I heard that they are celebrating the birthday of Ellis Island or Statue of Liberty and therefore the firework will be set off between Jersey and NY, as opposed to the East river.

Fireworks will be on the Hudson this year to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the discovery by Henry Hudson.

I will be in Weehawken on my boat.
