Hello,
Company is relocating my office to Woodcliff Lake and I arrive there Sunday July 6. I will be in corporate furnished apartment for 30 days in Westwood. So in these thirty days I need to find my own home. I am looking to spend in the area of $1,500 or less per month. I am from the Midwest and have always found it interesting to live on top of a store or similar housing. (loft, studio, etc.) I am single 34 years old male and interested very much in nightlife and meeting people in the area. Would like to live someplace close to public transportation into NYC. Does anyone have any suggestions where to start looking with a commute within 30-40 min to Woodcliff Lake? If I missed any information that will assist please let me know...I will respond promptly as your assistance is greatly appreciated. -Mosdet |

Since I also work in the Woodcliff Lake / Montvale area - I can recommend the area where I live which is Montclair/Bloomfield which is 20miles away and anywhere between 30mins and 1hr in commuting depending on traffic, weather etc - It's usually around 35mins for me. Montclair has a good amount of nightlife, restaurants - is pretty diverse and has transport to NYC via bus/train, you should be able to find the type of housing you're looking for there. Downside is lack of parking and the train to NY does not operate on the weekends. Another option may be Hoboken, Clifton or even the Teaneck area but I'm not that familiar with those towns - I'm sure others here would have some other recs for you.
Good luck with your move! |
