If I had the $$$, my retirement home would be on Key West. Tropical but still in the US. I have a feeling though that we will end up right where we are now. We are mortgage free.

With you there Shanny! I wouldnt live in Key West though- great to visit but not live, We are probably going to FTL area.

Ahhhh it's nice to dream.

In reality, with the way the economy is going, none of us will ever retire. We will all have to work till the day before we die.

Let me stop short of naming a specific place to retire for me. As an avid RVer for many many years I have seen a whole lot of this country. There are so very many places to settle down. And every long trip we make, we find that our most favorite place to retire has just changed.............again.

Ideally the best possible thing is to have a winter home in the south and a summer home in the north. Im certian we will be snowbirds. A term RVers use to describe that situation.
