You really need to look at a map, as I suggested when you posted on the Westchester, NY board. That way you can judge distances by looking at the scale for the maps and see for yourself.

I'm in Cherry Hill. I am technically 6 miles from Philadelphia. Traffic and taxes are high.

South Jersey is a totally different state than North Jersey. We don't even consider ourselves part of the same state.

NJ is such a small state, yet so divided.

SJ traffic..congested in some area but so is everywhere else close to a big city.

Taxes: Yes, they are known to be high some higher than others. I work in the Philadelphia city so I elected to live in SJ to save some tax.

Ben Frankilin said that New Jersey is a Keg tapped at both ends. North Jersey favors New York and South Jersey favors Philly.
We were born and raised in Hammonton which is the halfway mark between Atlantic City and Philly. 1/2 hour either way.
Now we are in Mullica Twp and I love it here, it's very rural and laid back, not too much drama and a great school!
