Does anyone think an interracial(white man/black woman) family would have any problems in Ridgewood?

lets just say, this is NJ - you wouldn't have any issues out by me in the "sticks" so I doubt you would have any in Ridgewood .

I do not see a problem with that in Ridgewood either. They have a small black community some on Broad Street area. There is a mix of all types in Ridgewood. The more crunchy the better if you get my drift. I even know a few gay school teachers in Ridgewood, so if thats excepted you be fine!! Pretty open minded in RIdgewood, good luck.

Not to say racism doesn't exist in NJ... but I do love that this quote is true except for a few small communities.

Thank God - I read the title of this post the wrong way and thought the poster was "alerting" all Ridgewood residents!

According to what MANY people say, color/race is not really important in Ridgewood. Socioeconomic status, on the other hand...

LOL - good point.

You know what may be an option if you are not mega loaded, Westwood... it's also diverse, accepting, a nice town and not as richy rich.
