Call the cops; tell them that you can't sleep. If it continues, go to the police department and file a complant. If that continues, gather your neighbors to file a joint complant. If that continues... Use the SilkCity0416's 5 step plan for a good night's sleep.

1: Walk upstairs

2: Knock calmly on the door.

3: Point a .45 to the perp who opens the door and calmly say: "Quit the noise, or ABC7 will know a story".

4: Walk back downstairs

5: Enjoy your sleep.

I don't see why you're confused about labels. Liberals emphasize policies that don't aid and abet white male supremacy as much as conservative policies do (note the relativism there--dems aren't much better). That's just plain obvious. I no longer affiliate with the Democratic Party myself after this latest nomination cycle.

A lot of people seem to be saying I should accept that developing racial bias is a part of losing my youthful innocence. I would rather not have any bias though. If there is a way to interfere with this illogical association from being imprinted on me, I'll do it. Like I said, these stereotypes fester into far worse things, so I'm concerned.

I think what's helping is that I came up with someone who also was wildly inconsiderate about noise from a long time ago, so I keep thinking of that (non-Hispanic) person every time I need to repent.

Haha, OK, that's a perfect way to sum the problem up while relieving me of some of my white guilt! Thanks!

Ive never understood the whole white guilt thing...butI guess thats a different topic to be discussed elsewhere.

As for looking for the most obvious insult, if you feel better on some level by using discriminatory language towards anyone, then you have far more problems than just white guilt IMO. Theres some type of racism or bigotry or something going on inside you whether you like to admit it or not. When people say they are not racist but yet they say things like "those people" or bring up race when describing someone, or might use a racist word in the privacy of their home or around their friends but never in the presense of someone whom those words may offend are still being prejudiced.

Maybe being hispanic and growing up in a community where whites are the minority and, before racial slang words were adopted as terms of endearment by those who they were meant to offend, I have a different perspective on things. But no matter how angry I may ever get I cant ever say Ive resorted to any form of discriminatory name calling. I may say things like A**H** or B**ch, or M**F**er but that has much more to do with someone actions than WHO or what they are.

Look, I'm not playing the holier than thou card, I have my own issues, I'm just saying that if you truely were not a racist person, no matter how badly someone aggrevated you, their race, religion, nationality, whatever would NOT come into the discussion because it truely wouldnt matter.

Excellent post.

I was coming back to say something similar because after it was pointed out to you that their race wasn't the issue or relevant you kept harping on it.

I don't understand white guilt either- it irritates me but as stated that is an issue for another thread.

Exactly- this thread was started by someone who keeps bringing up the fact that these people are part of a certain background. They don't want to seem "conservative". LOL. That is a topic for another thread as well.
How clueless can you get?
