bobjohn is on a distinguished road
Default same question: Looking to move to NJ. close to Wall st, close to Jersey City, Great schools.

We plat to spend 500 - 700K. We would consider two family houses or townhouses as well (just to be flexible). We are looking for more urban area.

We have kid in elementary school so schools are must.

Looking something with commute < 1 hour to Wall st and Jersey city.
Of course property taxes is a factor as well.

Please recommend some townships.

thank you very much

You would love my area but the commute to NYC would be a bit rough unless you take the bus or train. jersey city isn't too bad. NYC without traffic is 1 hr. JC about 45 mins. 500 to 700 will buy you a McMansion on tons of acres : )

Another option for you...areas / towns/twps. off of Rt. 78. Nice area and you can find something in your price range I'm sure.

I think they're looking for a more "urban" area so Warren County is probably not along the lines of what they're thinking.

Bobjohn - what do you mean by "urban"? Unfortunately as in most states, the denser more urban city areas don't tend to have great schools.

Maybe Montclair? You could get to both JC and Wall Street in a reasonable amount of time and it's pretty city-like by NJ town standards. Property taxes in Essex County are often killer though.
