Not Even Goldman Resume Helps Corzine Erase Deficit
Quote:
New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine said in November he was willing to lose his job if that's what it took to cut the state's $32 billion debt load. Now, the former Wall Street bond trader says more borrowing is inevitable.
|
How is it possible for the state with the highest median income in the entire nation to have such budget troubles? If anything, NJ should be rolling in the money, and should have a gigantic, multibillion "rainy day fund" by now to smooth out temporary economic woes.
Has Corzine bitten off more than he can chew in terms of managing the state's finances?

No, not all. He's just another one in a long line of those that think "the bigger the govt, the better" and has absolutely no qualms about digging deep into the pockets of the private sector and giving it all away in order too feel good. Results be damned.
NJ has the most dangerous types of liberals in existence - wealthy ones.

You know, it's far more about corruption in our dear state than it is being "liberal".

Oh yes, as our current administration in DC has proven, "conservatives" are so decent...

I said corruption. NJ is heavily a blue state and is the most corrupt state in the country.

No relation whatsoever between DC and NJ's fiscal mess. This is one thing we can't blame on BushCo.
