Default Which president is better for NJ

Is is true that McCain wants oil drilling off the nj coast? Which President is more strict on immigration? I think it's great if Obama taxes the rich more [over 250k salary]. Should America pull out of the war?

I don't like the idea of drilling more oil that took billions of years to develop. We should stop drilling anywhere in the world period its polluting the earth and it'll cause premature destruction of mankind. Obama seems like our man. But i want more opionions.

That isn't rich in NJ. Given the adverse affects on many NJ households' tax bills alone if Obama is elected, McCain is better for NJ, IMO.

They are both horrible choices and I will be voting for someone else.

However-you think that it is "great" taxing those who make over $250,000? Please tell me why you think that is great. Let me guess-your answer will be because "they can afford it"? I don't understand this jealousy/hatred/envy whatever for the rich or for those "perceived to be rich". I personally want lower taxes for all those that actually PAY taxes. How about we start implementing income taxes on those who currently pay NOTHING yet more than likely receive more governmental services than those who make over $250,000? How about getting rid of the EIC and provide tax relief to those of us who DO pay taxes?

They both stink on immigration. The only hope we have is voting in senators and congressman who are pro-American instead of pro-Illegal.

I think we need to look at domestic/off shore drilling. I believe that we can find a proper balance between the need for oil and the environment that MOST Americans can live with. By that I mean people other than the far left environmental wackos and the far right who want to rip up the whole country and drill. There has to be a happy medium.

While he is not getting my vote- I think that McCain would still be better for NJ than Obama.

lookingout is on a distinguished road
If Obama gets elected. not only the rich will suffer, but also the middle class who are struggling already. Obama will not be a good choice in many ways.

You must be my twin. This is my view also. The only difference I will vote McCain by default.

Taxing more those with more money is ridiculous; everyone should pay the same rate, make it even across the board. We all share the same responsibilities, and we are not communists here.

Immigration, imho (as everyone knows here), is more an issue with the businesses hiring them than the people themselves. This will remain the root of the problem, and neither of the big two support this.

The idea that we should not get more oil in order to ween ourselves off oil is a terrible idea. The fact is, our power, our cars, our houses; we run our lives from coal, oil, etc. We can not change this quickly, especially in a time where financial strife is hitting America at large. Increasing tax incentives, grants, etc for alternative and renewable power sources? Absolutely fantastic idea. Dollar for dollar tax credits would be even better. The fact is, noone is interested in that. McCain, imho, is too tied to big business, and Obama is just a rhetoric-spewing moron.

The better of the two for NJ, imho, would be McCain. However, neither will have any significant impact upon our state, its our state leaders which need to change, as they will have a definite impact on us.

Well, you see how well the country has fared under the leadership of King George.... initially I bought into the bs that McCain is a "maverick" in his party. Well, then I did my research and found that, legislatively, he is really very similar to W. While I don't think he's exactly W, he's too damn close for my liking. I also think that his pandering to the Right after getting the nomination just shows some major character flaws for someone wanting to be a "maverick." While I think, to some extent, he's a better human being than W... he will not be getting my vote.

While I truly hope Obama wins, because IMO he is the best choice among the 2, I know it's a gamble. But it's always a gamble. I have felt Obama will be either Kennedy or Carter, and we're not sure which one.

I have a very uneducated theory on this too... OLD (or middle aged) WHITE MEN have had their chance to *#(@ this country up for a very long time now.... I saw we give someone ELSE a chance to #*@( it up. LOL
