Best Diners in NJ
OK- I'm part Greek so this is REALLY a dear topic to me. LOL
I don't think most diners are as good as they used to be, sadly. I do have my opinions on what ones are better... but I want to see everyone else has to say first.
Go....

Didn't we do this already? Ok, I'll play - Yetter's Diner in Augusta and Town Square Diner in Wharton are my two favorites for THEC with a side of FF w/Gravy!

If we have I'm sorry - I'm new. I did see Yetters on the Cheap Eats thread though.

I know that Mastori's is supposed to be so great ....but I have to tell ya....I find nothing special there except the prices! To me it is just a diner with a good bakery....and IMO....Town and Country has better bread
There used to be a diner on Rt 35 in Eatontown called the Cobblestone....that place was good! I loved going there when I lived up there. I'm not sure its even still there since I haven't been up that way in years.

The Red Oak Diner in Fort Lee on Linwood Ave is great
There is another one in downtown JC that was on Diners Drive-ins and Dives w/ Guy Fieri, but I forgot the name of it. It is brown on the outside I think

Not too many NE Jersey diners being mentioned.
They have gone south here... some of the best are no longer the best, or not even there anymore. Many are now CAR dealerships. Because we need more car dealerships in NJ! LOL!
Although it could use updating, I like The Heritage in Hackensack...not the best, but pretty good.
The Suburban in Paramus is not bad.
I like the Tick Tock a lot and it probably is one of the better ones, but it is pricey and always packed.
I tried the Nutley Diner and i liked that, although I think it's pricey too.
I went to one in Chester last year, it may have even been "the Chester Diner" but I don't remember the name - anyway - I liked that a lot.
I miss the Clairmont in Clifton!
I do like the Coach House in Union City. Growing up a Jersey City girl, that's just sort of my touchstone!
You know what's gotten better, The Meadowlands Diner in Carlstadt/E. Rutherford. I was pleasantly surprised recently DESPITE it's garish exterior.
Does anyone know if the Flemington Diner still exists? I used to love that one too!
Oh, Oh, Oh.... what is the one right off of 78 in Clinton - with the Train car... I LOVE that place. LOVE LOVE LOVE it. That's my favotire! LOL I go every time we drive out that way.
