West New York

IMO best pizzas _Sal's on Bergenline, and Presto on 60th and Park. BOth have been there for many many years

Best Chinese #1 Chinese on Park ave and 65 and The foliage on 60th and Broadway

Best Supermarket _Food Bazaar.. cheaper for meat and fruits and veggies. A little more expensive for all the rest

Best Cuban Sandwiches--La Pola on Palisade and 50 something or the one across the street from it. Yummy

Best Mexican-- Puerto vallarta up on Kennedy and 67th I think in North Bergen

Like the neighborhood, but parking on/near Boulevard East continues to be a major grief. Any advice, words of wisdom or dirty jokes to cheer me up?

Welcome to the neighborhood. I've lived on 49th just off Blvd. East (weehawken) for the past 4 years or so. The neighborhood is ok. Bus commuting to NYC is a big plus, as is proximity to hoboken. Food in the area, especially good takeout/delivery isn't so great. I used to love china taste on 78th and bergenline but haven't been there in years. Presto's is good for pizza but their other food is so-so. I like Las Brisas on 49th and hudson for great cheap latin food (not sure where the owners are from). Paula at Rigoletto on park ave in weehawken (near the tunnel) used to be one of my favs for italian. I don't like it as much as I used to, but it's still probably the best restaurant in the area. Park Ave Bar and Grill is the fancy new restaurant/bar. I saw Bob Menendez (US Senator) eating there a few months ago. Mundo latino is pretty good, but expensive as another poster mentioned. Three star bagels on river road in edgewater is the best/closest for bagels. I wish there were more/better bagel places and italian delis for that matter. I love charritos for mexican food. It's on bergenline and 49th. I highly recommend the enchiladas oaxaquenas. They are building a new one on Blvd East, but who knows when it will open. It's been under construction for at least 2 years. Sabor is good/fancy/expensive. In all, I think the area is lackign for good places to eat, but there are a few gems.

Parking on blvd east is a pain near me anyway. I would highly recommend paying for parking if you can. I'd think <$200 is doable though. When parking, do NOT leave anything valuable in your car. Certainly don't leave any phone/GPS charger cables/mounts visible. The area has been a target for theives lately.
