Guess it's because we're a very heavy blue state. But what happened to be "for the people". Yeah I know Reps are screwed up also, but this is getting out of hand with corrupt Dems in NJ.

Assemblyman Cohen resigns after child porn allegations

The veteran state assemblyman alleged to have child pornography on his state-issued computer has resigned his legislative post, a statehouse source said.
In a letter dated Sunday, but received by the Assembly clerk's office Monday morning, Assemblyman Neil Cohen, D-Union, resigned effective immediately. He has reportedly been in a hospital under psychiatric evaluation since authorities seized his computer last week. A staffer apparently found child pornography on it.
Cohen, who has been in the Legislature for more than 15 years, represented a Union County district with two powerful Democrats: Sen. Raymond Lesniak and Assemblyman Joseph Cryan, who is state chairman of the Democratic Party.
Local Democratic committee members will have until late August to choose a replacement for Cohen to represent the 20th District, which has had three white lawmakers despite a population in which nearly two-thirds of residents are minorities.
The district includes Elizabeth, Kenilworth, Roselle and Union Township.
Cohen, 57, of Roselle, didn't immediately answer his cell phone Monday.

NJ Dem is in a class all by itself... it's special.
In the late 80's my friend was in UCLA LS and they had a class "Hudson County Politics." LOL It was not about how ETHICAL it was.

But many dem's have faced corruption charges, yes. Just not Cohen, his are even more disturbing imho... |

I was being sarcastic  I just don't think you can lump a pedophile in as "another corrupt Dem." Now let's lock him up, throw away the key, and get on with it shall we? |

Pedophilia doesn't know party lines, and the guy's party shouldn't even be brought into it. He's a sick individual. He's a criminal. Go to Jail, do not pass Go, do not collect pension.
I'm no fan of the NJ Democratic Party, but this is not a party affiliation problem.
