House cleaning service in Bergen County
Can anyone recommend a good house cleaning service in Bergen County? I know of SOS, Merry Maids, Maid Brigade and The Maids but I don't know which ones are recommended in this area.
Thanks!

I had a cleaning lady for 3 years and absolutely loved her before we moved from Bergenn county to the mid-west. Send me a direct message or an e-mail if you want her number.

Avoid Merry Maids in Bergen County!
We had a horrible experience with Merry Maids in Bergen County. We had a big party planned at our home for a Saturday night and had arranged a house cleaning with Merry Maids on Friday. It snowed Thursday night and they called to cancel for Friday, even though it was such a small storm the schools weren't closed. They rescheduled for Saturday morning. They never showed up on Saturday. There is no way to get in touch with the office on a weekend, so I was SOL.
I made repeated attempts in writing, e-mail, voice mail to complain at both the local and national level. I never heard back from them.
The Maids does a really good job. However, they do whatever they can to get more money from you. For our last cleaning I arranged a 2 hour cleaning and they would send 4 people. We had done that in the past with them with no problem. However, they sent out a crew of only 3 people and the job took them 4 hours, so they charged me for 4 hours instead of 2. I didn't really see how it was my problem that someone called out sick, but I wound up paying alot more for it. A little shady if you ask me.
And for God's sake, stay away from Zimick Brothers. These guys are the sketchiest out there. They hire illegal day laborers. The owner actually threatened my husband when he complained saying "You don't know who you are dealing with, we know where you live". My husband, who is from California and has watched too many episodes of The Sopranos was convinced they were Mafia.
Seriously, the best cleaners I've had were from just calling the small adds in the back of the local newspapers.

Try Better Homes Cleaning Services. They are more expensive than some of the other companies I've used but they do a really good job.

i would stick with a small company, not a franchise. In a small compay the owner is usually directly involved in hiring employees and making sure they show up.

small company
Im with this company 2heartscleaning.com
It is a small company and I deal directly with the owner. I found them on google. I contacted them and they came to my house to do a free estimate. I liked the price and hired them. Now, I have my house cleaned twice a month. So far, it's been a great experience, they do a good job and the price is reasonable.

Just curious, what is the average costs you guys are paying for cleaning services? Let's say for a 2,000 SF house?

For 2,000 SF you would pay somewhere around $80.
