Hi,
Has anyone gone 'green' in their homes? Specifically, solar or wind? What other 'eco' products do you use? Cheers ![]() |

Haven't yet, had some trouble sourcing some items...
I'm looking to add evacuated solar tubes for hot water. What I want to do is come off the water line before it heads to the boiler, run it up to the roof in the back (south facing, away from trees, perfect spot really), and have the return come into the basement then to the boiler - effectively preheating hot water during the day. This should greatly reduce my current use of oil. The other item is adding in a pellet stove - once I get my dining room finished, one is going in. Since the models I'm looking at are wood pellet or corn, its renewable and agro, which makes for a very eco-friendly conversion imho ![]() |

I have been amazed by what you can find on ebay...

Yeah, but I'd like to source locally, while still finding a good price (I'm cheap). I'm one of those "I'll keep looking to find the best of all worlds" kind of people
