I'm trying to buy a house. Because my attorney doesn't know anything about the title company that the seller suggested, he's advised me not to use that company. My realtor says a title company is a title company, and that regardless of which one I use, my interests would still be protected. Does anyone know of any possible legal issues that could arise from using a title company that's not one of the major ones? Trying to determine whether using a smaller, less known title company might put me at risk for possible legal complications down the line, and how. Thanks.

Its a relatively low cost item, and your interests are the ones being protected - go with your lawyer's suggestion, imho.
