Aaaand that's where the Majority of the crime in the area comes from. If you read the police blotter for Plainsboro, you'll always see Raven's Crest, Fox Run, Quail Ridge, or Pheasant's Hollow mentioned in there.

Most of the time, it's run of the mill vandalism, car gets keyed/broken into/etc, but there are busts for teen partying and/or CDS.

One last tip about Cranbury, Princetonbound - 25 means 25. The Cranbury PD patrol Main Street with an iron fist. It's one of the reasons the town is so great - no one's tearing through the town.

Ditto for Plainsboro, those guys are down on speeders! Oh! and Plainsboro doesn't have a gas station anywhere in town.

West Windsor Cops are busy with shoplifters at WalMart so the streets are a little less patrolled for speeders, but vigilant for everything else.

Princeton has the traffic guys is those little Cushman vehicles, a minute late on the meter and you have a ticket!

Funny you should mention this, but I was just visiting my folks in NJ last week, and I got a speeding ticket in Cranbury doing 32 miles per hour after dining at Teddy's Luncheonette. I used to work next door to Teddy's Luncheonette 100 years ago before he moved it to Cranbury from N Main St of Hightstown.
So yes, don't speed in Cranbury, and yes, Teddy's still rules.

Smile another option

South Brunswick is also very close to Princeton and there are many houses for sale within your budget. The schools, like ww/p, are blue ribbon. Had 2 kids graduate and one still in school and haave no complaints. The area is diverse although the number of Asians and Middle Easterners seem to be steadily climbing. Very diverse in religion also.

Default one more thing

I forgot to mention that south Brunswick has a VERY low crime rate. Always a good thing : )

I don't believe Princeton is going down at all. It's people living in the surrounding towns spreading rumors.

Look also into Montgomery (aka Belle Mead, Skillman) - excellent schools and very nice area - 15 mins to Princeton.
