Default Parsippany

So what's everyone's take on Parsippany? I heard/read that it was rated #13 in the nation on places to live and I was surprised. Not that I think Parsippany is bad, just surprised that that one of our towns rated so high up on the scale. I know it's a large area with about 50,000 people and very diverse. I have some family there and they swear by it, but if you look on greatschools.net, etc. It's not one of the highest rated schools either. Not bad, just not as high as others I've seen. I know it's got great highway access (maybe too much lol) but the one thing I know that I don't like about the town is that it doesn't have a "town center" such as maybe Denville, etc. There's no particular quaint little street to walk on a friday for teens to go to the movies to, etc. But that's about all I know.

Any input is helpful, thanks

Nice town. Reasonably safe. Isnt what alot of people want is a place to live, to send their kids to school, and not be harassed too much? Thats Parsippany.

I had a customer this weekend from there. She calls it Parsindia and Parsakistan.

I think Parsippany is a town in decline. It was a great place to live and raise your kids 20years ago. Now, there are better choices out there.

Agreed! Over-rated in my opinion. Convenience is all that Parsippany has nowadays. 1/2 way betwenn PA and NYC. IT capital of NJ as well so maybe that's why they received such a high rating.."hackers" - Hacked into NJ website and boosted their twp. up on the list . I would put Boonton or Denville way over Parsippany!
