Planning to move to Flemington need to find job and apt. help please
Hello this past weekend I went up to Hunterdon County to look around and decide if I wanted to move up that way. Well I absolutely loved it. I originally was thinking Frenchtown but it is entirely too small as everyone has already told me. I did however fall in love with Flemington and am now planning on moving up there hopefully before winter begins. My only problem is that I know nothing of the area. Does anyone know of any headhunters down there or newspapers or websites (I already checked nj.com, hotjobs and monster) to check out for that specific area. Also does anyone know of any realtors down there that deal with rental apartments. Are people friendly up there? Does it flood in Flemington? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EVERYONE is friendly here. Seriously, its kind of amazing imho, everything is just a bit calmer, everyone says hi, waves, etc; all of Hunterdon is a great place to live
Good luck finding a place/job!

Well I have 8 years experience in insurance (the administrative end at least I am not an underwriter) and I have 10 years administrative experience all together. So I am thinking my best bet is staying in the administrative field although I do have a BA and an MA Criminal Justice. I have a salary range in mind and as long as I am meeting it I am honestly open to whatever I do but as I said I most likely see myself doing administrative work.

Good area but local job contacts will be slim, if any. Suggest you reach out to the NYC headhunters that might also place in northern NJ. Flemington is a nice area, though. Frenchtown is a major step back from Flemington. Not to mention more isolated. You made the right choice.
