does anyone have any good experiences with movers in central new jersey? I am moving just across New Brunswick, but I don't have a car and I don't have any friends I can really ask to help. So I need to hire people.

I am a 20-something female with a whole lot of junk. Every time I hire movers off of craigslist, I end up doing half of the work because they are totally out of shape. I should have just refused to help, but that's all in the past. So what I'm looking for now are some good, strong movers who don't mind running up and down a bunch of stairs with all my boxes of stuff.

I'm not moving a whole house, just the contents of a room and some more. So I've never gone through a "real" moving company, but perhaps I should.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

University Van Lines in Rahway. They moved us twice, within six months, and they were great.

We used JK Vreeland out of South Plainfield. They did all the lifting and bringing things in off their truck.

Good luck

I used 2 Men and a Truck to move some things from the house I sold in Manalapan to my Sons Apt in Old Bridge. They did a 1 1/2 hour move price.

On the same hook, I'm in the same area, and I just need some hired muscle to move stuff up some stairs. Just four pieces of large furniture. I don't even need point-to-point moving. I can get it to the site, I just need help when I get there. Any suggestions for companies who do this?

I have used Budd Moving Company in Flanders, NJ to move across town and across country. I will use them again (when needed) and could not recommend them more highly. I have referred others to them as well.
