Favorite NJ Home Made Ice Cream Place
We've covered all the other great NJ foods but I don't think we ever discussed our favorite home made ice cream places???
Mine would be Cliff's on Rt. 46 in Ledgewood. They make the best "twist"... orange and vanilla skyscrapers!

LOL..I'm surprised that you knew that? Not many do. Buddy open another place in Ledgewood... specialty was ice cream cakes.

Kohr's ice cream-right on the boardwalk. The best. Had some a few weeks ago-vanilla and mint swirl. Yummy! Real ice cream-none of that trying to be healthy garbage. If I want to eat healthy- I will have a salad. If I want a good cone- I want Kohr's!

Hi,
Living in NJ for 40 years, never had the best ice cream other then Ice Cream Charlie's in Rutherford, NJ on park Avenue.

Growing up it was Applegate Farm in Montclair. Cliff's in Ledgewood is good. Another good one is Herbie's in Great Meadows.

Denville Dairy would be my second choice...loved their "smurf" ice cream they had out. Gave you some really blue teeth though : )

I love orange and vanil twists. Especially with choco jimmies (think I'm crazy? just try it!). I used to get 'em at Kohr Bros.
Denville Dairy is great too. I love getting the heath ice cream with peanut butter sauce. Mmmmm. How unhealthy is that?
