Yes I do but with NJ and NYC so close it's not as if I'm closed out.

It's weird but I'm a stone's throw away from the NJ bridge here in Philly and let me tell ya,there's NO NJ'ans around here! It's strictly hardcore locals! Aside from me being a sucker for punishment,NJ'ans pretty much know to stay away from the 'hoods here

I don't know if my opinion counts or not since it was only from a short-term visit but I like that when I asked people for directions they actually used the names of streets - here in FL, assuming the person speaks English and isn't a tourist, you get a lot of go up past the Mcdonalds, go through the light make a U-turn at the KFC and then you'll see some construction - go through that and it should be on your left....I also love that when I put on my signal light people actually let me switch lanes. That has never happened to me here.
So much for all the hospitality being in the South, huh?

This sounds like the directions given in Rural NEPA. "Go to the 7th Oak tree, make a right, go past 6 houses, etc" It's really annoying. Of course your opinion counts.

Hey do they still have street signs made of cardboard there? It's like if you're not from there then you really don't need to know what the streets are

There's even street lights on some of the streets. My street runs dead end at the end of my block so, of course, there are no street lights.
Someone I used to work with wanted to go to Atlantic Highlands to go fishing. I got them there on Rt 36 and told them they had to take the "jug handle" to cross the highway. They got lost----couldn't find a sign for the jug handle and, to top it off, didn't know what I was talking about.

When I lived in Pittston and even last week when I ended up on some back roads in the Poconos they had these strange street signs that looked like they were made of cardboard that people just wrote the street names on in magic marker. Kinda strange and backwoodsy to me
