Thanks Katie. The part about the seaplane and airmail from Keyport were especially interesting since I lived in Union Beach, worked in Keyport during high school and went to high school in Keyport.

Every Mike I ever met (and I loved them all!) was mischievious as a kid and it carried on into adulthood. They are LOYAL friends & brothers and GREAT sons (if you have the energy to keep up with them). As a kid, the worst thing you could say to a "Mike" was "I dare you!" because they love a challenge. My brother (Mike) once ate a worm on a dare. To top that, he ate a live June bug on a dare. He's in his 40's now but I could probably get him to eat a caterpillar if I dared him! A Mike is a real "man's man" - he will do, say and try things that other men wouldn't. It is something to be proud of, to be a "Mike". You probably have some great stories - am I right?
