Default Where to live in Bergen County?

I am looking to rent a 2+ br, 1+ bath townhouse or single family home and my budget is around $2,000 to $2,300. I am looking for a safe, nice neighborhood, good preschool, more suburban than urban and with an easy city commute (ideally a train station). Am I asking for too much? Which city on BergenCounty or surroundings would you recommend according to my above mentioned needs and budget? Any feedback or comments are welcome.

Look into Lyndhurst and Rutherford...both very nice towns and a stones throw from NYC.
