Keansburg
You are not very well informed. There are homes in Keansburg priced at $600,000 selling on the market. I could run over to parts of the low income areas of the surrounding towns and find homes selling for under $200,000. Hazlet is full of trailer parks. There are homes currently selling for under $199,000 in Old Bridge, Union Beach, Laurence Harbor, Aberdeen, Middletown, N. Middletown, Highlands and Hazlet. Are you trying to tell me all those towns are low income towns too? You don't make any sense. Keansburg has some cheap houses too! and low income parts. I much rather live in so called low income town of Keansburg as you say than live in one of those shacks in the low income areas of the surrounding towns. Belford, Cliffwood, Keyport, Port Monmouth and Atlantic Highlands currenty have houses listing under $250,000 and honestly that would be considered low income to others in the state of New Jersey. Again I think your trashing the entire bayshore area, in fact according to you, all these towns are low income. Your unbelievable. Second of all, I could have bought a much cheaper house in these surrounding towns. I love the bayshore area, but if your gonna put Keansburg down, honestly your putting every town down in the bayshore area as well, but if it makes you feel better then be it. Another note, household median income estimates in 2005 for New Jersey was $61,672. My income as a single guy beat that, and yep my two friends with a family income making over $100,000, also moved to your so called low income bayshore area of Keansburg. Also I am very happy to have moved to Monmouth County! I used to live in Middlesex County and couldn't wait to move out. I work in Union County and can't wait to drive home <laughing>

You gotta be kidding. Keansburg is 100 times better than Asbury Park and Long Branch. You would not walk the streets of Asbury Park at nite! Anyone that has lived in those towns would tell you Keansburg is not even comparable to the run-down parts of Asbury Park and Long Branch. When I read something that is so ridiculous I have to write. Keansburg is no rich town, its an old town, but its quite safe. Last year I was visiting in Asbury Park, the crime is so bad down there... there was yellow tape around a house for a murder that just took place. And Long Branch is not much better. A girl would not walk those streets at nite... I guarantee it. If your lucky to see the new developments going up in those towns, yes they are nice, but dont stray from them!

With real estate the way it's been in NJ, the property values have gone up, and there is a lot of building going on. Sadly, there is still a significant amount of drug activity in town, though.

I live in Keansburg, I dont see any more drug activity going on than any other bayshore town! Its a very safe town.

It is NOT an upscale town, most people I know would never live in Keansburg. Bad reputations are hard to erase.

Thats a total lie! Anyone living in Keansburg would laugh at your comments. Most people rather live in Keansburg than any other bayshore town and its a very safe town! It's not an upscale town, nor is any other bayshore town! Monroe township where I grew up is an upscale town, but no where in the bayshore can compare. I still love the bayshore!

I agree with you 100% I gave you my positive rating! And if you live in a neighboring bayshore town get two big dogs!

Bon Jovi is from Rumson!
Bon Jovi would never live in the dumps of North Middletown! Rumson was a part of Shrewsberry at one time. Rumson was part of Middletown but that was back in the 1600's. North Middletown is not Rumson... a huge difference! I am sure if Bon Jovi had to choose between the crap of north Middletown and Keansburg I am sure he would choose Keansburg to live.

Bree, Keansburg is becoming a great town to live in. I moved here 17 months ago and it was the best decision I ever made. The town is definitely moving up. The beach is crowded and very clean. The amusement park has added new rides and the water park is doing very well! Luxury waterfront condo's are going to be built on both sides of the amusement park. Festivals, parades and fireworks continue. Taxes remain low, homes affordable and a very safe town. I am so happy to have moved here!

Ok...I live in "The Burg" and in all honesty, I really think you haven't been around the town much. Granted, if you stay in your home and never interact with the people it can seem great! But in all honesty...it'sdefinitely not better than Middletown, Hazlet...etc. And this is coming from someone who has lived her entire life there!
