Default BridgePoint Community, Old Bridge ...Please help with info

Hi ,
We are looking at townhomes in central Jersey and we found one we liked in the Bridge Point community in Old Bridge . My husband and I both commute to the city and we wanted to understand the commute by bus or Train . The train from Matawan takes an hour to Penn station . Does anybody have an idea of the commute by bus.
We would appreciate any info about the community .
Thanks

You can catch the NJ Transit buses from Route 9 into NYC. Trip should be about 1 hour.

You can get more info from:

There is a NJ Transit bus stop near by (right over the corner near the Garden State Parkway). Bus #135 stops there. The bus take you to the Penn Station. It take about one hour to get there.
Me and my family live in this community for 3 years already. We really love it. We also work in the city and take 135 every day.

I am also looking in this area. There is a bus that leaves from the Cheesquake rest stop which can take you to either Port Authority, Wall St or Jersey City. Port Authority and Wall St buses run every 8 minutes or so.

I Just found a place that I would like to buy in Bridgepoint, my only concern is that my wife and I both commute to the city, but have different commuting schedules (and only 1 car). Does anyone know if there is carpooling to the city or even the park-and-ride?
-thanks

There's a major bus stop on route 9 in Old Bridge right before the McDonalds. It's actually the last stop for a number of buses before heading into the city.

If the Exit 120 Park & Ride fits into your schedule, it's potentially walkable from Bridgepointe (1/4 to 1/2 a mile) - not that I would, but you could. It's also close enough that one of you could drop off the other there early in the morning.
