Route 80 pot bust follows trip to NYC for peanut butter, pastrami - Breaking News From New Jersey - NJ.com

This could be the strangest story I've ever read. I am one of the few people I know that's never tried this drug, but it must compell some to do some strange things, like drive over 2000 miles for pastrami. Though I miss east coast food, I don't miss it this much.

Doesn't sound like the cops had probable cause to search the car.

OMG - LMAO! This line is classic:

"It's unclear if the suspects planned to eat the peanut butter on the pastrami."

This story certainly does nothing to refute NMs reputation for having a substandard schooling system.

Or our reputation for illegal search and seizure.... or if you read the comments, our reputation for being 100% ignorant when it comes to geography and immigration.

The comments regarding geography are absolutely astonishing, if they aren't being facetious. Many still think my adopted state isn't part of the US. Part of it may be due to how unusual this state is: it's probably the most un-US state in look and feel that I've been to with the possible exception of Hawaii. We really are 'off the grid' here.

I don't think the posters behind comments like "Are they even in the US legally" or "check their immigration status!" were being facetious....

I think they are idiots. There are no stupid questions, just stupid people
