Hmm -- seems that number is a little off. Try 1.75 billion as per the WSJ.

85 billion,can't wait to see what happens if they bailout a Union company llike GM or Ford,oh look that will never happen....the're scum.....lets save Wall St!!!

I was just a kid, so I don't really remember the history, but I remember the situation with Chrystler back in the 70's. How was that saved? Was the government involved at all or was it all Iacocca's doing?
