If there is a recession, I would venture to say that thus far, it is regionalized. New Mexico has seen, if anything, an uptick in the economy here over the past 3 years. I've never seen this place more hopping than the present day.

I was in college when there was the crash in '87 (or was it '88???)
I remember downtown JC and Hoboken (which were just becoming yuppified) had FOR SALE signs on all the BMW's ... it was over night.
