train or bus from Edgewater to Bloomfield/glen ridge
Hi,
Need to find the easiest public transportation from Edgewater to Bloomfield, specifically Brookdale Park. Am not at all familiar with Bloomfield but my child has an event at the park that we need to attend this coming week (daytime, weekday). We also need to figure out public transportation to Glen Ridge for another thing later next week (daytime, weekday). We thought of taking the bus #158 to NY and then catching a train from Penn Station, but we weren't sure if there was an easier way than going all the way into NY and we also didn't know how far it was from the train station in Bloomfield to the Brookdale Park. No car, so everything needs to be public transportation. If we have to take a taxi for a short distance, that's okay, but a taxi from Edgewater to Bloomfield is $60/min. and we'd need it back again after the day was over. Thought of hiring a driver off of craigslist, but wasn't sure how safe/reliable/expensive that was and if they would come back for us at the end of the day.
Any help is appreciated. I need to know before the 19th. Thanks!
