That commute is alot better than the one some of us take. We travel north on the GSP and than the turnpike. I'd trade it in a heartbeat. Some say it's lonely, i'd prefer that better than being stuck on the turnpike in bumper to bumper traffic. My daughter goes to TCNJ in Ewing and it takes about 55 minutes from northern Ocean County. Cruise control set at 75 on Rt.195.

I agree 100%. I work all over the state from Carneys Point and Salem to Ridgefield and a lot of places in between. The ride to Trenton is a good one and it also has no tolls. I've also traveled there through RT 539 and that is a sceanic country drive although at night its a little scary at first being its pitch dark for the most part. But once you get used to it can be enjoyable.

I commuted from Monmouth County to TCNJ for my undergrad education. 195 is an easy ride, but yes it is very lonely, especially at night. Once you ride it a couple of times, you'll discover where the state troopers hang out.

I now commute to Northern NJ for work on the parkway. Much different ride. The mornings not too bad because I leave early enough, but depending on the time I leave work, I can really get hit with traffic. Once the shore traffic starts in May, it's a nightmare coming home, especially on Fridays.
