2 things...
I will be in Parsippany this weekend. I have 2 questions....
1. What are some good places to eat? Not the usual fare...something funky and fun?
2. Any festivals going on near this area?

I've been wanting to try this place...I hear it's great! Not far from Parsippany.
Midori Japanese Restaurant in Denville, New Jersey. Japanese Food, Japanese Cuisine, Northern New Jersey.
I'll see if there are any fairs/festivals happening out that way as well and let you know what I find out. You can always take a trip into NYC? Bus, train or car...

Festivals - NJ.com
Looks like only one in NJ - Bloomfield which is about 20 mins. east of Parsippany. May want to check and see if there are any in PA or NYC? A trip to New Hope / Lambertville might be fun for you... About 1 hr. west of parsippany. Artsy Fartsy - Hippy towns - great restaurants, bars, etc. Nice day trip.
