IS design, unix admins, linux admins, etc. are all still desired. IT knowledgeable staff working with specialized hardware manufacturers (coders doing c and assembly) for embedded devices, streaming media solutions, etc, are still very much desired.
Building web sites? notsomuch.

True, I should have specified. My bad.

Go here:
ADP Careers
Click on 'New Search' and choose 'United States' for Country and 'New Jersey' for State, scroll down and click 'Search' and right now it shows 82 jobs open.
If you apply, tell them I referred you. I could get a bonus.

The "Jerkey" I mean Jersey businesses are playing very mean and lean these days - (and sarcastically speaking) the head honchos gotta keep their year end bonuses intact you know.
Good thing you never purchased a town home in Weehawken or Jersey City months ago when you were thinking of doing so.
It's become a good thing to be a renter as then one has "some" mobile flexibility if you need to move closer to a job.
Looks like you'll possibly be relocating out of NJ for a job unless you love a real long commute.
I really wish you the best of luck.

VERY STIFF COMPETITION for the few trickled openings in these geographic areas these days.
I know people looking who are very qualified and with Accounting degrees having a rough time of it for many months now.

BERGEN? Where in Bergen? I think the job market is DEAD in Bergen. Morris is better, I would think the next best area would be in the Bridgewater and even Princeton Areas.
