It took me 2 days reading this thread but I finally thought of one.

Places I never been:
Well I lived in Budd Lake for so many years and drove by Larisons Turkey Farm twice a day for many many years but never went in. I know for Thanksgiving there is about a 3 year waiting list to have dinner there.

I guess now that Im gone I wished I had stopped in for dinner there.

Larisons is gone my friend . It's now and English Pub/Restaurant. I actually worked at larisons for about a week before I quit because I was so grossed out!!! I worked the recycling center.. the slop area! It was my job to salvage whatever no one ate so that we could send it back out to the next table . It was family style... whole turkey, bowl of mashed, etc. to each table - just like you would get at mom's house on the holidays.... so the leftovers were saved and reserved.

It is definitely sad that Larison's is gone! I grew up in Essex County and we used to ride out to Chester when I was a kid to go to the flea market and then to Larison's for a turkey dinner. It was a fun day in the "country". Never been to the Puddingstone (the place it is now), but hear it's crap. Several members of ex's family worked there at one time or another, turkey carving, waitering, busing, gift shop, bookkeeping etc.

I have never been to Cape May (Well, once when I was 13, we took the ferry to Lewes, Delaware) but I digress.
I have never been anywhere in Cumberland or Salem counties.
I have never been to the Land of Make Believe
I have never been to Ho Ho Kus (My favorite Jersey town name)
I have never been to LBI (Above it or below it, many times)

Oh, I know there is more, just can't think now.

Shanny (On an unplanned day off)

If you've ever been to the Weird NJ website, there's a few places there that I'd like to check out.

Another one would be to explore that old ferry ship sitting in the Raritan River near the Hwy 1 & NJ Turnpike bridges in East Brunswick. I always see that ferry from the highway, but never have time to go explore (if you are even able to). Anyone know the history of this one?
