Question What "local thing" have you never been to/visited?

I was talking to a friend about the closing of Yankee Stadium and I thought this would be an interesting thread.

What local landmark or place have you never been to or seen?

Me:

Yankee Stadium (which is why I thought of this)

I've never been to those shore towns between Atlantic City and Wildwood (places like Sea Isle City, Stone Harbor, etc., but actually I have been to Ocean City for a few hours).

Ridgewood

Westfield

I'm trying to think of places in NYC I've never been to. I went to the top of the Empire State Bldg for the first time about 18 months ago and I went to "Top of the Rock" for the first time about a yr ago. After those, I think I've hit the highlights there.

How about you?

Sheesh.... um...

I'm pretty hard pressed. Have alot of family that has visited over the years, wanted to hit the touristy spots (statue of liberty, empire state building, etc), been to AC, Wildwood, sleazeside, belmar, point pleasant and the rest, and I used to drive all the hell over Jersey on a whim.

Cape May is about all I haven't truly "visited".

Great post!

Oh, Cucu - get to Cape May - so nice!
And Tahiti get to Yankee Stadium - FAST!

I was also a drive all over type before gas went sky high, I still do it on occasion....

I have always wanted to go to the Cloisters and Riverside Church in NYC, never have. Always wanted to take the "Dayliner" up the Hudson River - I remember the commercials as a kid - although I've heard the actual experience is not all that nice. I think I've done most of the NYC things...esp after 9/11, I was like "Taking nothing for granted and I'm GOING."

In NJ - never been to Waterloo Village. Don't know if I want to but I never have and when I pass signs I always think "Hm... never been there." I've wanted to take the kids to Storybookland down by AC, have not done that yet (but intend to.)

I haven't been there in probably over a dozen years (I went to a NJ Wine Festival there), and I literally live < 10 minutes away. I wouldn't make the trip if I were you, LOL. But that reminded me, I've never been to Land of Make Believe and Wild West City, which again, are practically in my backyard.

I've never been to the Liberty Science Center, Batsto Village in the Pinelands, I've been to Paterson plenty of times but I've never gone to look at the falls. I've never been to LBI, though I have been through or to most of the shore towns north or south of there. I've never been to the Camden Aquarium. Never been anywhere in Cumberland County. I've never been to High Point or Midgetville.
