No, definitely not for all students! And it's too expensive to let your child "find themselves" while attending. I know way too many kids who went from college to college, changing majors and losing credits, taking 6 or 7 years to finally finish... IF they finished. It is better to let them take some time off or start at a community college, or YES a trade school and see what happens. The skilled trades are respectable careers indeed.
Poker playing? As a mother I would probably also be upset....but if he is making a living....
