You know, before any of these moves, they should be LIQUIDATING assets of various CEOs, CFOs and so on.....

i hope whatever "reform" comes out of this is some sort of revamp of CEO compensation, where the focus is LONG TERM growth, none of this "cooking the books"/giving a loan to anyone with a pulse for short term gain, and some clauses that allow payback if audits at a later time reveal they've di***** shareholders over.

Amen! Just heard that some goon CEO is getting an 18 million dollar golden parachute for 17 days worth of work.

It'll never happen - way too much money coming from these lenders in support of political candidates!!! Our politicians will never "bite the hand that feeds them"!

I think it is up because people think there will ultimately be a deal and becuase there are some good bargain basement prices out there now. Who doesn't love a fire sale!
