Not a joke. Come on people, it's ok to be happy about some good news for a change. All the doom and gloom has people depressed and the change yesterday made some people happy and hopeful.
Since when are hope and happiness bad things. The post was basically a big "Yea!". No need to burst the bubble.
I, for one, am with Wiley in being hopeful as we are both trying to sell our homes. Is yesterdays advance a reason to celebrate? Maybe not, but a person can be happy and have hope.
You keep your happy, good vibes, Wiley.... It's your perogative (sp?).
And if it goes up 5 hundred today we are even for the week. The only dummies are the ones that should not have been in the market in the first place. They sold the other day when it was low!. People were posting in business and finance that they were went to the banks and took all their money out and put in their closet. Yea that was real bright. The stock market is only down to last years numbers. If you can't hack the downturns that go along with all the upturns don't invest. Put your money in the closet.
Just listened to Paulson at 10AM. So let me get this straight---the fat cats on Wall St made millions and then screwed up. Now, we thetaxpayers, have to bail them out so they can play again! BUNK!!!!

...and just why do you think that is,becuase out stupid goverment is going to save all the *******s who screwed it up in the first place and they get to walk away with millions while joe taxe payer has lost his IRA or pension and then have to cover the bailout by paying more taxes............!BS
I vote no on the bailout and I called my rep to say so!
I tend to agree... the rally is only becuse the government is stepping up to the plate to bail out. To the tune of HALF A TRILLION DOLLARS. Well, couple that with our already huge debt and I don't see where this is a good thing for the citizens of our country - not in any way.
Does anyone remember the early 70's when Carter was president, the unemployment rate along with the inflation rate hit double digits.
