Default Is Clinton, NJ a good place to live?

I was thinking of going to Newark but the crime rate was very high.

So I then decided to move to Clinton.

Is Clinton a good place to live in? Is the crime rate high? Is education good? How far is it from Manhattan?

Any other info would be nice.

Many Thanks.

Depends on what you're looking for.

Crime rate is low. Its the antithesis of Newark. They aren't comparable really on any level.

Bus leaves from there to manhattan, its about 60 miles, you're subject to traffic delays. The Raritan Valley line runs from High Bridge, or you can get on in Annandale, 1:45 long ride to Penn in NY.

What do you need to know?

Do you perhaps mean Clifton??? Clifton is similar in many ways to Newark, while Clinton is world's away.

Clinton is charming, historic, low crime, decent schools. I would live there. I wouldn't live in Neark if you gave me a mansion.

Why would anyone even consider Newark? I mean who actually wants to move there?

Clinton is completely opposite. Nice quite bedroom community with 2 large lakes and state parks nearby. The main road 31 is about 50 years behind in the times and can get quite slow with only one measly lane. Has it been improved in recent times?

Commuting or taking the train into that NY Zoo is quite the commute. I think it is way past reasonable to want to do that twice a day from Clinton.
