So many great comments here I'm going to have a rep fest! CORPORATIONS rule the world in 2008. Governments are now just pawns.

Agreed.

When the company is now existing thanks to the taxpayers dime, all benes go out the window - for all - starting at the top but going all the way down the line.

"Fair" is for 7 yr olds. My company had a serious problem a few years back that cost us dearly. I was supposed to get a nice merit bonus and then we were told "Sorry, but we can't right now." It sucked, yeah, but we needed the company to stay solvent. AND we didn't have a taxpayer bailout going on.

I would move out of this country in a heartbeat if it was only up to me. No wonder the illegal immigrants are lower in numbers. Even they know when its time to jump ship.
Todd I'm with ya! But one of my former "would like to move to" countries is about to declare BANKRUPTCY! We are in big trouble GLOBALLY.

I think they're more-than-willing accomplices. Our elected officials in DC have a perk filled, golden lifestyle most of us can't relate to.
