Let's remember our Halloweens as kids.... what was your favorite/worst costume. What did you do? All that sort of fun stuff...

I don't remember it being QUITE the big deal it is today when I was a kid, we were barely allowed to mention it in school... much less parades and parties. That was all after school at 3:00.

I totally empathize w/ the Seinfeld skit about the cheap garbage bag costume that your Mom made you put a coat over and the CRAPPY masks! LOL! They were SOOOOOOO bad.

I was a blind date. Black shirt, date on it ,dark sunglasses......
Brain on drugs was a good one........
Oh, those were adult tones, sorry

Well, way back in 1985, when Michael Jackson was still a black man and not a white noseless woman, and I wouldn't have gotten sent to the principal's office for racism, that's who I was for Halloween because he was my idol. My mom always helped me do the coolest costumes (as I now try to do with my kids), so she bought skin makeup, and black spray paint. She sprayed my skinny little white arms and face brown and sprayed my hair (which was a tight perm) black and left one curl dangling. I had a white glove with sparkles, a red leather vest with the zippers, black (fake) leather pants which she hemmed into highwaters and she dipped my white socks into glue then glitter and I had black sneakers. I must say I was one of the best Michael Jacksons I've ever seen, even at 10 years old. I don't think I've ever come close to beating my mom when it comes to that lol!

I've been a demon, gf an angel. I wore a black suit, black french cuff shirt with dark red cufflinks, dark red tie, and tiny horns barely visible through the hair, gf shorts that said angel on them, white fluffy shirt and wings.

Last year, I was Batman (new costume), she was Batgirl (was like a pleather costume). Friends were Spider-Man (reg costume), Spider-Man (black costume), godson was Superman, our dog was Super-Dog, we had a catwoman, green lantern - it was a straight up comic-book halloween. Plus we all partied together so it was damn fun

I was a vampire pimp - vampire costume from the store, came with a fuzzy red cape.... I added a pimp cane to really finish the look, and instead of standard vamp fangs i had fake gold single vamp teeth (attached to your teeth like a cap).

As a kid, I was usually the grim reaper - it was easy. Being older, I find it more fun to go all out with friends and then party.

My ex-husband and I were a bride and groom one year....he was the bride, me the groom. It was pretty funny.

A friend of mine did the serial killer thing a couple years ago, that was a great costume.

BF and I might go out as rednecks this year, oh wait we do that everyday.

Doorway - I love the blind date...I may have to use that one. I went with 2 other people and we were the 3 blind mice.

When I was a kid trick or treating NEVER started before 6:30. We always said "trick or treat" and "thank you" and we felt safe enough not to have to have parents escort us.

The best part was coming home, separating out our candy and trading with each other.

kinda like the "blind date" - my DH and I were black eyed P's - black eye makeup around our eyes, the letter p hanging from our chests. silly - but an easy costume in a pinch.

my one friend is something awesome (and tasteless) every year. one year he was Roy (of sigfried and roy), all bloodied, with a white tiger attached to him.
