just to clarify - EHT is Egg Harbor Township.

EHC is Egg Harbor City.

EHC is on the northwestern border of EHT.

Thanks so much for all the great info!! This forum has been the most helpful. We have even been in touch with a 'relocation specialist' who has not been able to tell us as much about the areas or is as familiar.

To clarify more as a couple people have asked- I am looking more for a neighborhood, but with homes that have yards. No cookie-cutter homes that you only have 3 plans to choose from and the houses look the same. do not have to be close to the beach, as it seems everything is not a bad drive- which is one of the things that excites me the most about the move. NC has the mountains for skiing and the beach, and it seems Nj does as well, only it is much closer!!
I will also be looking for a job, I have over 10+ years experience in Human Resources. I am currently a regional manager handling 3 states. So, I assume I will probably be commuting to find a job. That is Ok, I am used to that now.
My main priority is to be in a safe area with a good school system. we will be taking a house hunting trip the 2nd week in November, so this is great ot be able to narrow down some areas!!

Mays Landing is fabulous. I have lived here my entire life and never plan to move. It offers the best of both worlds with quaint old town charm and a close proximity to shopping and the major roadways. Only 20 minutes to Atlantic City and 50 minutes to Philadelphia. There are beautiful county parks that are along the Egg Harbor River and Lake Lenape. Just last week we enjoyed a fabulous parade for Halloween on Main Street and there are always Art and Craft shows in town. The library is beautiful and overlooks the park and river. In that park during the summer there are weekly concerts. What a great place to raise children. My eleven year old loves the school system. So I live here and love it.
