There was a presidential election in 1936, and Roosevelt was re-elected, I think over Alf Landon. (or was it Wendell Wilkie??) Anyway, that was the high-water mark for the Democrats, as they got about 520 something of the electoral votes. I haven't put the heat on yet either haha.. if it was up to my boyfriend.. the heat would never come on and the windows would be open even with snow on the ground

Power is out and phones are dead! Phones went dead about 2 hrs. ago and the power went out about 15 mins. ago. Sure is nice having that whole house generator : ))

my kids are stuck at school until the roads are better. i predict they won't be home until 5pm or so. Rt 80's closed westbound exit 34 to 27 - DH is in for a LOOOONGGGG a** ride. I warned him.

You should call one of your many SUV driving neighbors who also has kids and go and get them! I would be freaking out if my kids were stuck at school ... well unless it's deemed a nice break away... a few extra hours of peace and quiet
