Default Moving to Morristown?

Looking for some help. My job is bringing me to NJ for the next few years. I'm a fifty year old single guy with grown children and plan to keep my house in NH, so I'll be renting. I've been been referred to Morristown. Wondering what's it like? Are there any areas I should avoid? What's there to do?

Looking for something small - a one bedroom or studio - wood even consider a roommate arrangement to start out to see what area is like. Looking on-line now, but thought folks might have some suggestions as to the best sites to find rentals.

Thanks!

Welcome from a fellow NH transplant. A few questions.... where will your job be? Are you looking for easy train access to Manhattan? Any other requirements for what you want in the place you choose?

Look in Bedminster as well. There are quite a few appartments for rent there.

Working in Basking Ridge, you can look in Basking Ridge, Bernardsville Bedminster, Bridgewater, Green Brook, Warren, Long Hill. Depending on where in Basking Ridge you will be working, the average commute from any of those towns would be 15 minutes by car. Looking for 1 bedroom rental, you'll likely end up in a condo. What sort of monthy rent would you be comfortable paying?

Stay away from the area nicknamed "The hollow"

It is a lower rent and commercial area. A little seedy. Not bad mind you. Not like there are crime waves, just not a premium spot. Morris Township section is residential single family section nearest Basking Ridge down 202.
